Longtime WVHDF Board Member Resigns

J.D. Stricklen, a longtime member of the West Virginia Housing Development Fund Board of Directors, has resigned.

Stricklen, a pillar of the state’s housing and home building community, served on the board for 12 years.

“J.D. always offered a unique, informed perspective during our board meetings,” said Erica Boggess, the Fund’s Executive Director. “He was a great champion for the Fund and was a tireless advocate for our agency and our programs.”

We are pleased to present the West Virginia Housing Development Fund’s Fiscal Year 2017 Annual Report.

Elderly Apartments Open in Jackson County

RIPLEY – The West Virginia Housing Development Fund recently celebrated the dedication of Elizabeth Way Apartments.

Erica Boggess, the Fund’s Executive Director, was a featured speaker at the event. dedication of Elizabeth Way Apartments. The building features 16-one bedroom units and 16-two bedroom units. Each apartment features a full kitchen, washer/dryer hookups and state-of-the art climate controls. Residents will also be able to utilize the building’s outdoor gazebo, community room and prayer room.

Fund Remains Only Housing Finance Agency with “AAA” Distinction

Standard & Poor’s Rating Service has once again affirmed West Virginia Housing Development Fund’s “AAA” issuer credit rating. The “AAA” qualification is Standard & Poor’s highest ranking and the Fund is the only state housing finance agency to receive a “AAA” rating.

The rating service lauded the extremely high credit quality of the Fund’s asset base, the Fund’s ability to successfully meet its legislative mandate, the extensive experience of the Fund’s management team and its conservative philosophy.

Two Long-Time Employees Serving in New Roles

The West Virginia Housing Development Fund is proud to announce the promotion of two long-time employees.

Crystal Toney will be Deputy Director – Administration managing Accounting, Finance, Information Services and Loan Servicing.  Julie Davis will be Deputy Director – Production managing Single Family, Multifamily, Asset Management and Communications.

“Crystal and Julie bring a wealth of knowledge to their new positions and I speak for everyone here at the Fund when I say congratulations,” said Erica Boggess, the Fund’s executive director.
