Program to Offer Help for West Virginia Renters, Landlords Now Accepting Applications

CHARLESTON – Gov. Jim Justice and the West Virginia Housing Development Fund are excited to announce that a program developed to help renters and landlords impacted by COVID-19 is open and accepting applications.

The Mountaineer Rental Assistance Program offers direct financial assistance to renters who have lost their job, had their income reduced or suffered a significant cost or financial hardship because of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Housing Crew in Wayne County Works to Keep Residents Safe During Storm, Power Outage

WAYNE – The winter storm that crippled Wayne County late February was brutal. High winds, heavy snow, frigid temperatures, and mass power outages crippled sections of the county for days. At one point, up to 60 percent of county residents were without power.

Fund Honors Energy Efficient Builder

The West Virginia Housing Development Fund would like to recognize Rising Sun Construction as the 2020 Home Builders Association of West Virginia Best of West Virginia Award for Best Energy Efficiency.

The home was custom built for the Baus Family in Morgantown.
