CHARLESTON – Earlier this week, several West Virginia Housing Development Fund employees attended a public policy briefing and grant presentation  sponsored by the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB). Raleigh County Student Takes Top Honor

The West Virginia Housing Development Fund was honored to sponsor the Gazette-Mail Regional Spelling Bee. The event was held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at South Charleston High School.

Elizabeth Koh, a seventh-grader from St. Francis de Sales School in Beckley, was the 2011 Gazette-Mail Regional Spelling Bee champion. She will now represent the state at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. Her older brother, Matthew, won the crown in 2008.
