Proposals will be reviewed for projects that comply with HUD regulations. Of the HOME funds administered by the Fund, 15% are set aside for CHDO organizations to use in the development of housing opportunities for lower income West Virginia families. These funds are allocated to CHDO organizations by an RFP process.
In 2019, the Fund committed $1,985,000 to finance the acquisition and new construction of two affordable housing multifamily residential rental projects, which contain 11 total HOME units, under the CHDO Rental Program.
