Proposals will be reviewed for projects that comply with HUD regulations. Of the HOME funds administered by the Fund, 15% are set aside for CHDO organizations to use in the development of housing opportunities for lower income West Virginia families. These funds are allocated to CHDO organizations by an RFP process.
In 2017, the WVHDF committed $1,180,870.00 to finance the acquisition and new construction of two affordable housing multifamily residential projects, which contain eight total HOME units, under the CHDO Rental Program.
