The On-Site Systems Loan Program is now the….

The Residential Septic Loan Program (formerly the On-Site Systems Loan Program) is a partnership between the West Virginia Housing Development Fund and the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, designed to help eligible homeowners repair or replace failing on-site septic systems or connect to a public treatment system.

Borrower and Property Eligibility

  • The program is limited to owner-occupied residences or long-term lessees who have resided in the dwelling as their primary residence no less than 12 months at application.
  • Borrowers may qualify for up to $10,000, repaid over 10 years at 2% interest.
  • Loan cannot be used in conjunction with a new construction project or in the setup of manufactured housing.
  • Subject dwelling cannot be currently listed for sale or on the market.After closing, borrowers will receive payment information in the mail. All payments will come to the Fund.
