Ms. Humphrey joined the Housing Development Fund in November 2021 where she leads the Fund’s public relations and marketing efforts. She has previous experience as a newspaper reporter, copy editor, and editorial writer. Ms. Humphrey is a graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Print Journalism in 2011, and she earned her Master of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University in 2022.
Mr. Smith joined the Housing Development Fund in July 2023 and has over 34 years of experience in commercial banking industry. Mr. Smith has previous experience in commercial banking, underwriting, risk assets, and government guaranteed financing. He is a graduate of Alma College in Alma, Michigan with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and History. He has a Master of Business Administration from University of Michigan.
Ms. Friend joined the Fund in January 2020 as Senior Manager Human Resources. Prior to joining the Fund, Ms. Friend worked in Human Resources in the healthcare industry for 17 years. She graduated from West Virginia State College with a degree in Accounting then earned her Master’s Degree in Industrial and Employee Relations from Marshall University.
Mr. Leport joined the Housing Development Fund in 2004 as the Internal Auditor. He was appointed Division Manager of Finance & Federal Financial Administration in June 2017 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in September 2024. Prior to 2004, Mr. Leport worked in public accounting. Mr. Leport is a graduate of West Virginia University, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting, and the University of Charleston where he received a Master of Business Administration degree. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Ms. Massie joined the Housing Development Fund in 2013 as Legal Counsel for Compliance and assumed the role of Senior Legal Counsel in September 2023. She graduated from Marshall University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting and earned her law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2006.
