The West Virginia Housing Development Fund (the “Fund”), a quasi-governmental organization providing safe, decent affordable housing across West Virginia, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of REO Asset Management Specialist based in our Charleston Office. Essential Functions include, but are not limited to, making recommendations to management for the disposition of REO properties; overseeing all aspects of buyer and seller transactions from review of purchase agreements through execution of closing documents; coordinating with Technical Services department to schedule inspections and obtain bids for property repairs and rehabilitation; serving as a liaison between realtors, internal inspectors and management on REO assets; processing all bills associated with REO properties (utilities, maintenance, repairs, appraisals, etc.); maintaining system documentation throughout the REO process; and responsible for driving a company owned vehicle, or having a viable means of transportation, to perform site visits, or other duties as necessary. Core Competencies include: Communication, Ethics, Organizational Skills, Problem Solving and Project Management. Bachelor’s Degree or one to two years’ Real Estate or Asset Management experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience REQUIRED; Three or more years’ experience in Real Estate or mortgage related activities (Mortgage loan foreclosures, BPO/Appraisals and/or Real Estate Sales) PREFERRED. Valid driver’s license; experience with Microsoft Word and Excel also required. Base salary for this position is $35,136 with final salary determined based on knowledge and experience of the successful candidate. The Fund also offers an extensive benefit package that includes:
