“Melea is a welcome addition to our AdHoc Committee leadership team and we’re all very excited about the enthusiasm and excitement she will generate as chairwoman,” said Fund Executive Director Joe Hatfield. “We’ve always had great leaders chairing this vital part of the Fund’s business dynamic and I know Melea is going to carry on that legacy.”

Brotherton, who has been attending AdHoc Committee meetings for a number of years, said she looks forward to her new role and is honored to talk and exchange perspectives with her contemporaries.
“These are challenging times in our industry. In order to move forward, we need to understand the issues we face and what it takes to overcome our collective obstacles,” Brotherton said. “While many of us are competitors, I think we can agree that we all want to do all we can to help more West Virginia families purchase a home.”
Brotherton lives in Charleston and is married to Will Brotherton. Her community activities include serving as a board member for the Fund for the Arts and the West Virginia Interagency Housing Council.
